Did you know that we here at Date Creek Ranch are on the border between the Mojave and Sonoran desert? The Sonoran desert is well known for the Saguaro cactus and the Mojave for the Joshua tree. We have both here at Date Creek Ranch.
I feel so fortunate to be able to sit here at the creek and admire Cottonwood and Willow trees and a few feet up the hillside see saguaros and Joshua trees.
Below is a photo of an old dam,
The Joshua tree has huge flowers in the spring and the cows love to eat those blossoms. I’ve seen them stand on their hind legs trying to reach these scrumptious flowers.
