Pastured Pork
NO SOY, NO GMOS IN OUR FEEDS. Our standard of quality for you, has never been greater. Our pigs eat a balanced diet of non-gmo grains and corn, without soy additives. While this is the majority of their diet, they are raised in open pastures around the ranch. Most of our locations are under mesquite thickets. The mesquite beans offer an additional sweetness (like our apples did!) to our pork. Grass, grubs and more are always accessible. We rotate paddocks for the pigs weekly.
NO ANTIBIOTICS – NO HORMONES. Our pigs live in stress-free environments and are not ever given antibiotics or hormones. After they are weaned from their mamas they are turned out into a pasture where they are able to root and behave like pigs!
A half animal will be about 80-100 pounds of packaged meat and will cost around $780 and $970 Half hogs are 9.70/lb and Whole hogs are 9.50/lb. *Bottom of the page explains smoking/curing*
Benefits of Natural Pork:
Natural Pork means that our animals are raised without antibiotics, growth stimulants, or hormones and are never forced to live in small, cramped, indoor pens. Raised in the fresh air and sunshine and in large pastures where they are able to root and express their inherent pig-ness. And they love being in their pasture! They run and play and enjoy their stress-free life. When animals are cared for properly, and given a supportive, natural environment in which to live, the food they yield is healthier.
We do not add any MSG, phosphates, nitrates, or nitrites to any of our meat.*
*Our standard cutting list does not include any smoking or curing of meats as this would require the use of nitrates. We firmly believe in keeping our food as close as possible to what nature intended for us and thus far have not found any suitable substitutes.

Smoked meats will require 2 weeks extra, so they may need to be picked up at a later date than your pork share.
Smoked meats/seasoned meats may contain sugar, nitrates, nitrites, high levels of salt - The above changes have been made due to some variations in the final taste (saltiness) of some smoked/seasoned products.
*We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality of pastured pork. However, we must clarify that while we take every precaution to ensure the quality and deliciousness of our products, there are factors beyond our control that may impact their taste.
We, Date Creek Ranch, are not liable to replace or refund products that go through added seasoning (breakfast sausage, italian, chorizo) or smoking and curing (hams and bacons).
We hereby disclaim any responsibility for the quality of smoked meats, as we are not the ones who smoke/cure or season the pork. This includes, but is not limited to, variations in taste, texture, appearance, or overall satisfaction.
We have chosen our standard cut list over many years, taking into consideration what most satisfies clients. Smoking/curing and seasoning is one of those things that can have varied responses and enjoyment.
Any cuts WITHOUT seasoning, curing, smoking are applicable to reimbursement if you are not 100% satisfied.

PLEASE NOTE:
"Pork Belly" is; bacon (cured) or fresh side (uncured)
"Pork Butt" is NOT Hams. It is Pork Roasts in our list.
"Pork Shoulder Roast" is as it is named; good for carnitas and roasting.
Whole Hams can be upwards of 15lbs.
Ribs will be country style, smaller ribs. Please request a full rack if thats what you are wanting.
